Questions before you hand us the signatures.
Does Signature Studio read employee emails?+
No. Signature Studio manages signature settings and basic directory profile information needed to create and deploy signatures. It does not need the contents of employee inboxes to manage Gmail signatures.
Can one employee have different signatures for different aliases?+
Yes. Send-As identities can resolve to different brands and signature rules, so one Google Workspace user can represent multiple companies or departments cleanly.
What happens when an employee changes title or phone number?+
Directory sync can detect the change and update the profile data used by the employee's signature. Automation can then redeploy the affected identities instead of touching everyone.
Can marketing run a banner campaign without redesigning every signature?+
Yes. Campaign banners are treated as a temporary layer beneath the base signature. When the campaign is ended, Signature Studio restores the stored base signature for the deployed identities.
Do employees have to install anything?+
For centralized Google Workspace deployment, employees do not need to rebuild or paste their signature manually. Signature Studio pushes the Gmail signature through the authorized Workspace connection.
Can I use Signature Studio without Google Workspace?+
Yes. Individuals can still create signatures and use the Gmail, Apple Mail and iPhone/iPad installation workflows. Centralized directory sync and bulk deployment are Workspace features.
